The Company
The role of Head of Sales is a pivotal appointment in the next phase of expansion for a market leading scale-up Consultancy based in London focused on a range of innovative digital applications and projects within the rail industry.
The UK rail industry is undergoing the largest transformation seen in a generation and the business is positioning itself to be at the centre of this change.
As it enters a phase of rapid commercialisation and growth, it is now seeking a talented and experienced Sales Manager to take a consultative approach and develop new business opportunities that its’ leading-edge software technology and data-led products can fulfil.
The Role
The requirement is for a Sales Manager with rail sector experience to be responsible for developing long-term strategic relationships with key industry bodies in the rail sector, establishing and progressing existing pipelines and winning new business.
The position involves a mixture of Account Management for existing strategic accounts and new business development. The business has an impressive understanding of the market in terms of rail customers and competition and can provide specific targets alongside the new opportunities that you will develop.
The role will also require business development outside of the known customer base, through networking, calling, events, social media marketing and other business-to-business activities.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be an experienced solution seller with prior knowledge of selling to digital products to customers in the UK rail sector. An understanding of the operational and financial issues faced by the sector is essential.
As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate Industry knowledge and networks including successful prior sales experience in the industry.
Account Management planning and execution experience will be key including managing customer relationships with multiple stakeholders and delivering revenue from existing accounts.
Salary and Benefits
On offer will be a competitive salary and commission scheme based on achieving growth targets and in addition there is a benefits package that will be negotiable depending upon the level of expertise and value that you can bring to the role and will include share options.
It is a hybrid role with a requirement for some of the working month being spent in the London Head Office.
